Websites

You have a website, right?

These days it's so easy to have a website. Despite all the buzz about Web 2.0, it is important to just have a web presence. You want to give people a way to find out more about your business.

What kind of site do you need?

I'll be the first to admit that there are snake oil salesmen out there trying to pitch you on whizbang websites that may or may not fit your company's needs.

What kind of sites are there?

In order of cost, there are:
  • Brochure site: 1 to 5 pages that give clients basic company or product information. Rarely updated.
  • Blog: can have an unlimited amount of pages. Is more engaging and easy to update.
  • Dynamic website: Can contain a blog, but also includes other information that changes frequently.
  • E-commerce: an e-commerce site is a dynamic site; but it also has the burden of requiring extra security and active management. E-commerce sites are self-contained, usually. Your data does not roam around the rest of the website.
  • Account Management: This is the type of site where you manage your account online. These are often custom created to your specs; which makes them some of the most expensive to develop.

Let me help you find the right website solution for your business.
